It is commonly assumed that you can explain your problems to the hypnotherapist who is able to hypnotize them away, but this is not the case. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is very much a partnership and joint effort between you and the hypnotherapist. The hypnotherapist requires you to focus on the solutions which enables the hypnotherapist to help you make the necessary changes.
